Where I fit

A useful bridge between insight and output.

Research

Competitor libraries, customer language, format patterns, offer structure, and product truth.

Strategy

Audience tension, awareness stage, strategic angle, campaign platform, and testing hypothesis.

Direction

Concepts, hooks, scripts, storyboards, production briefs, deliverable matrices, and guardrails.

Learning

Isolated variables, relevant metrics, and a retrospective: expected result, observed result, and next decision.

Motion CSB ↗

I completed Motion’s Creative Strategist Bootcamp and passed its final exam. The work maps to the program’s creative loop: ideation, briefing, project management, and retrospective. Because these four cases are independent spec work, observed-result fields stay blank until a live test produces data.

Credibility boundary

The four featured cases prove process and judgment, not access to brand performance data. SwayFormations and the Creative Strategy Vault show client delivery and self-directed building. The Toolkit shows the same judgment applied to my own reference tools and a live brand pivot (hims & hers).

Application kit

Use one precise message. Send one precise proof.

01Target

Choose roles where the job description includes ad research, concepting, briefs, UGC, paid social, or creative testing.

02Match

Use CeraVe for beauty, HelloFresh for subscriptions, Oura for technology or wellness, and Caraway for account diagnosis or DTC operations.

03Send

Lead with one insight from the relevant case. Link directly to that case, not the homepage.

04Walk through

Explain observation, audience tension, angle, lead concept, and test in 90 seconds.

Recruiter or hiring-manager note

Short enough to read. Specific enough to remember.

Hi [Name],

I’m applying for the [Role] position. I noticed the role connects customer research to paid-social concepts and production briefs.

I built a spec case for [CeraVe / HelloFresh / Oura / Caraway] using current ads from the brand’s official Meta Library page. The core insight was [insert one sentence]. I turned it into concepts, a production brief, and a controlled learning plan.

Relevant case: [direct link]

If useful, I’d value a 15-minute conversation about how your team moves from performance signals to the next creative brief.

90-second case walkthrough · Loom practice

Share the case page. Record one take. Show the evidence, explain one decision, name the test, then ask a working strategist for one specific critique.

  1. 0–20 sec

“I sampled [number] current placements from the official advertiser page. The recurring pattern was [pattern].”

  2. 20–40 sec

“The deeper audience tension was [belief or behavior], so I framed the strategic angle as [angle].”

  3. 40–70 sec

“The lead concept makes the tension visible through [creative device]. Here is the hook, body, and product role.”

  4. 70–90 sec

“I would test [variable] against [control], read [metrics], then document what we expected, what happened, and what changes next. I do not have brand performance data, so the observed-result field stays blank.”

The ask

Need someone who can show the reasoning and hand production a usable brief?
